The generous array of parks in Florida’s Springlands offers a wide range of experiences, from a place that commemorates Florida’s largest Civil War battle, to a vast national forest, to several parks that are set amid freshwater springs and rivers. Basically, there’s a park for just about everyone.

Lake Isabella Historic District
The Lake Isabella Historic Residential District consists of all or parts of thirty blocks southeast of Lake City’s downtown area. The district encompasses a large and concentrated collection of buildings that reflect national trends in architecture during the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries.
Lake City-Columbia County Historical Museum
The Lake City-Columbia County Historical Museum is housed in an 1870s-era home previously owned by the Vinzant family. This museum includes two stories of the history of Columbia County and artifacts from the Civil War. A portion of the museum is devoted to Vinzant family artifacts, including family photos. In addition to the various exhibitions, the museum also offers genealogical research, tours and special events.

Visit our education and exhibit center and be treated to a one-of-a-kind experience. In this encounter, dedicated to the interpretation of urban growth, water usage, and their effects on our springs and river, you will follow cave divers as they explore activities taking place deep within our recharge basin. Through interactive and interpretive displays, you can "go with the flow" as you trace this precious resource from source to boiling spring. Complete the journey, sharing in the mystery, as you enjoy a movie in our state-of-the-art theater.
